A popular rendering of Bhagavad Gita 4.18, one of the Gita’s most discussed paradoxes: the wise see ‘inaction in action’ — effort without ego and attachment — and ‘action in inaction,’ the hidden choices inside apparent stillness. Swarupananda (1909) renders it: ‘He who sees inaction in action, and action in inaction, is intelligent among men.’
